The Waters Oshkosh: A Classic Waterfront Wedding Venue

Cape Cod-Style Luxury Complete with Waterfront Views

Imagine a serene wedding, set in an untouched snowy landscape on the shores of a glittering frozen lake. Or maybe you’re envisioning a summer ceremony by the water. Built by noted architect William Waters in 1903, The Waters is a two-story, Cape Cod-style venue set on expansive Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh, WI. Rich in local history and once regarded as the city’s crown jewel for the Oshkosh Yacht Club, The Waters is now used as a waterfront wedding venue.

Comfortably accommodating up to 300 guests (with a Grand Ballroom seating 172), your one-of-a-kind wedding vision will transform into an attainable reality.

Historic Grandeur

From the moment you step inside the grand entrance to the time you slip the wedding band on your newlywed’s finger, striking architecture surrounds you with timeless décor. As you walk up the majestic double staircase to the Grand Ballroom—which is also accessible by elevator—you’ll feel like you’re suspended in luxury 19th century life. Guests can sip on drinks from the handcrafted, mahogany Harbor Bar while mingling on the screened porch and second-floor balcony overlooking docked sailboats.

If you’re marrying in winter months, you can exchange vows by a crackling fire and then dance the night away in the warm, tasteful interior.

Restored to its original architecture from over 200 years ago, The Waters is also located next to one of Oshkosh’s largest outdoor green spaces, Menominee Park. The 8-acre, treelined park offers additional photo opportunities for your big day. In the days leading up to your ceremony, watch the stunning sunrise on the eastern side of the park, play a round of tennis and take a brisk walk on a paved trail.
